Kidney fibroma abdominal MRI medical image datasets

Medullary fibroma, or renomedullary interstitial cell tumor, is a frequent, usually incidental finding, small tumor composed of stellate or polygonal cells embedded in a loose fascicular stroma, the lesion localizes in the renal medulla and almost always measures less than 0.5 cm in diameter, however, tumors up to 6.5 cm have been reported. This tumor does not produce clinical alterations and it does not require a specific treatment. On MRI, medullary fibroma shows low signal intensivity in both T1- and T2-weighted images presumably because of their collagen content.
