Acute glomerulonephritis retroperitoneal and abdominal medical image datasets

Acute glomerulonephritis is defined as inflammation and subsequent damage of the glomeruli leading to hematuria, proteinuria, and azotemia; it may be caused by a primary renal disease or a systemic condition. The glomerular filtration rate is decreased, leading to activation of the renin-aldosterone system and subsequent salt and water retention, resulting in edema and hypertension. Acute glomerulonephritis requires prompt diagnosis, as it can rapidly progress to permanent kidney disease if left undiagnosed. An ultrasound checks the size of your kidneys, looks for blockages and identifies any problems. The database consists of kidney ultrasound medical images with varying levels of pathology accompanied with detailed radiology reports.
