Kidney hypoplasia retroperitoneal and abdominal medical image datasets

Kidney hypoplasia is a congenital renal malformation characterized by abnormally small kidney(s) with normal corticomedullary differentiation and reduced number of nephrons. The clinical diagnosis is typically based on ultrasonography. On the ultrasound, renal hypoplasia is defined as a kidney volume of below two standard deviations or a combined kidney volume of less than half of age-related normal kidney volume. Corticomedullary differentiation typically is normal. Medical Data Cloud provides access to a large dataset of kidney ultrasound images. The ultrasound scan images are accompanied by a radiology report with detailed description on variant pathologies. Using the latest kidney datasets from Medical Data Cloud, will hasten the training of ML/AI algorithms for better models’ learning and diagnosis.
