Acinar cell carcinoma abdominal MRI medical image datasets

Acinic cell carcinoma or acinar cell carcinoma (ACC) of the pancreas is a rare, malignant neoplasm that accounts for 1-2% of all pancreatic neoplasms. Most acinar cell neoplasm, even those that are highly differentiated, are malignant, however, a few benign acinar cell neoplasms have been described. The prognosis for patients with ACC is better than for patients with ductal adenocarcinoma but worse than for patients with typical pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. On MRI, ACC usually presents as a large, oval, pancreatic mass with moderate and heterogeneous enhancement after intravenous administration of a gadolinium chelate. Our database consists of abdominal MRI medical images showing the interrelations between the different organs and glands. The MRI images are accompanied by a radiology report with detailed description on variant pathologies.
